The Eagle Fire Lodge & Conference Center is located directly on the old Midland Railroad line in Woodland Park, Colorado. Though the trains do not exist any longer, the history does. Located only 20 minutes west of Downtown Colorado Springs, and 30 minutes west of the Colorado Springs airport, The Eagle Fire lodge is an ideal spot for your base camp. If mining and gaming are part of your stay, Cripple Creek and Victor are only 30 minutes west.

Woodland Park is completely surrounded by the Pike National Forest, and for most of us, this is our playground. Within minutes in any direction, you can hike, cross country ski, fish, climb, ride horses or ATV's, hunt, swim, raft, snowmobile, mountain bike, picnic, or enjoy any of the many other activities. If the great outdoors in not on your radar, you will find numerous choices in restaurants, and unique mountain shopping to fill your time.

Woodland Park experiences a tempered climate with over 300 days per year of sunshine. With a name like "City Above the Clouds" it's a good bet that a great many of your days here will be filled with sunshine regardless of the season.
